Shirts galore--for the PTO, that is! Finished these up and they will be distributed to the students that earned them in the Walk-A-Thon.

The co-presidents tell me there are order forms going out if anyone wants to order one. Contact the Holgate PTO officers if you are interested!
I've been working on ideas for basketball season--so if there is something that you want to see done, or if you have a new and different idea, let me know soon, so I can get it finished before the first tip-off of the season!

DEADLINE! All orders for Christmas delivery MUST be made before December 1, 2009.
Unfortunately, I've had to make this a little earlier. Please make a note of it and get your orders in before then, so Santa doesn't disappoint!
Till next time . . .

Up and running!

As summer is heating up, so is my heat press! Lots of practice shirts have been made, and washed, and tested. I LOVE this machine! There are so many beautiful picture designs out there! And I placed my first order for custom transfers today--I can't wait to get them!
What is a transfer? When you have a 'screen-print' tee-shirt made, the inks are pushed through a screen and onto the shirt--then the second color is done the same way, and the third, etc. When a transfer is made, the same materials are involved, but the inks are printed onto the transfer paper. When this is applied to a shirt with a heat press, the design 'transfers' to the shirt with an extremely high heat--usually over 350 degrees. Both designs are equally durable.
Adding a heat press to Deb'Z D'Zigns has given me the ability to offer you both ends of the decorated apparel spectrum--lower cost imprinted shirts, and the high-end designer look of custom embroidery.
Stitched or pressed--it's all up to you!

BIG CHANGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!`

There have been some great additions to Deb'Z D'Zigns in the past couple of weeks--and the biggest news is that I've added heat press to the business! The sky is the limit with what is being done in heat-imprinted apparel, with glitters, foils, and full-color imprints available on the garments you specify in just a few days' time. Stock artwork is available, or I can take your artwork and turn it into a beautiful print.

What can imprints be put on? Just about anything! Jackets, shirts, pants, duffel bags--contact me to discuss ideas that will work for you.

I've even gotten some transfers in that are just perfect for adding a touch of embroidery along WITH the transfer.

So you see--the options are endless! Watch for photos to be added to my gallery soon!

Digging out

Winter in Ohio--well, this year it's been everything it is supposed to be. COLD. SNOWY. WINDY. I can't complain too much, though, because I love snow. And so does the puppy! Piper was in snow as deep as she is tall (we had 7" of new snow on top of what was already on the ground) and loving every minute of it!

I'm starting back to work on some scrapbooking--traditional, not digital--in order to finish a sports scrapbook. It's a lot of fun, and I'm coming to the end of this 3-year project. WHEW! Then it's on to some Valentine cards--I have a few ideas, but haven't tried any of them out yet. And I see that Sizzix is bringing out some embossing folders--can't wait to try them!
Later!

IT'S COLD!!!!!!!!!

Dear heavens--it's cold here! Now I realize that -12 degrees might be the norm for this time of year in some places (the Dakotas, Yukon Territory, Alaska), but it's sure not what we generally have in OHIO! And I have to take the puppy out to do her business in this icy blast. At least it's not as windy as it was yesterday. I hope she doesn't get used to being carried outside and back inside--because that's NOT going to happen when it warms up--but for now, it's probably healthier for her if I carry her.

We have achieved a bit of a 'detente' between Piper and our beagle, Suzy. At least, they will occasionally share the couch without Suzy getting snappy at her. Makes it a lot easier on me when they get along.

ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL

I'll be announcing this on MONDAY, January 19, and the special will run for 1 week--but you'll have to wait until then to find out what it is! I'm so very grateful for all the support I've had, and all my customers over the past 5 years! So watch this spot on Monday for the announcement!

New Year, New Ideas

I always have such grand ideas at the start of the year--and it doesn't take long for me to fall behind on what I 'want' to get done. One of the first things will be an overhaul of my blog. I'm not sure if I want to keep this one for JUST the business side--Deb'Z D'Zigns Custom Embroidery and Crafts--and maybe start another one for my cards and scrapping? That might be the best idea. But whatever I decide--look for some updates and changes.

And of course, watch for some great embroidery deals! It will be my 5th anniversary in business on January 20--so until then, MENTION THIS BLOG AND GET 5% OFF your total embroidery order!

Piper update: She's growing like a weed! On Christmas Day, she was rarely without a lap to sit on--but she did find time to have some fun with a bow:

Time to finish putting the Christmas decorations away--always kind of a sad time, since I LOVE Christmas--but it will be good to have everything back in order! TTFN!
